Curious about curling? Join us for this two-session introductory clinic designed for adults and older youth who are new to the sport and want a short, hands-on course in the fundamentals of curling.
Session 1 - Sept 15: Learn the basics of stone delivery and sweeping techniques.
Session 2 - Sept 22: Become familiar with the playing surface, game structure, etiquette, scoring, and key strategies that will help you feel confident stepping onto the ice.
Participants will benefit from small-group instruction, ensuring plenty of personalized coaching and practice time.
What to Bring
Equipment
Curling equipment, including grippers, sliders, and stabilizers, will be provided for participants who do not have their own equipment.

Under her guidance, the NAIT Ooks men's curling team has qualified for the CCAA National Championships every season, reflecting her commitment to athlete development and competitive excellence.
Curling has been a part of Flory's life for more than 20 years. She has competed at the junior, collegiate, and ladies levels in both provincial and national events. As a former NAIT student-athlete, she earned medals at all four ACAC Provincial Championships and all four CCAA National Championships during her collegiate career, including an ACAC Provincial Championship title.

Participants will learn the basics of stone delivery and sweeping techniques while becoming familiar with the playing surface, game structure, etiquette, and scoring. Special emphasis will be placed on safety, helping new curlers feel comfortable and confident on the ice while having fun and enjoying the social side of the sport.
This clinic is especially valuable for individuals and teams registering for the Friday Night 6-Pack League. Participants will gain the skills and confidence needed to get started and enjoy league play right from the first draw.

Ideal for curlers with at least one season of experience, this clinic combines on-ice instruction with individualized video analysis to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. Certified coaches will provide in-depth technical feedback and practical adjustments to help you develop a more consistent, balanced, and repeatable delivery.
With a small group size, participants will receive personalized coaching and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the session.
