FAQ 1 -  There's a '+' in my email address?

- Duplicate or Shared Email Addresses

Our new system requires each account to have a unique email address. Because your email was already in use, it has assigned an email address of “…[email protected]”  in order to set up your account. 

Question:  What does this mean?

Answer:  You will not receive all system generated email,  such as ‘Forgot Username’ or ‘Forgot Password’, payment/registration confirmations, newsletters etc. therefore your options are as follows:

Recommended solution:  If you are able to provide a unique email address for your account, we can update your profile and then you will be able to use the ‘Forgot Password’ to set your password and be good to go. 

Or, we can set a temporary password for you, so you may log into your Member account, then when you know your new email address, you can simply go into your Member Info tab and change it.  Beware, that you may not receive our emails until you add the new address. 

Alternate solution:  If you are not able to provide a unique email address, we will send you a temp password to enable you to log in and set your own password, but you must understand, you may not receive all the email from the website moving forward.

To consider:   If you still wish to use a family email address for your general correspondence, you might think about setting up a ‘free’ email address (to use in situations like this…) and then set up a permanent ‘Forward to’ your family email address.
Or, if your service provider allows, you might set up what is called an ‘alias’ email address, that gives you a unique address but actually feeds into your main account, which you may find helpful in other situations as well.  Shaw or Telus will be able to help you with this – uncertain about other providers' procedures.

FAQ 2  -  I don't have an email address.  

No Email Address, or member account shows @invalid.com

Our new system requires each account to have a unique email address. If you did not have an email address registered with us last season, you may have been assigned an email address of “…This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.”  in order to set up your account.   

What do you need to do?

You will not receive any system, generated email,  such as ‘Forgot Username’ or ‘Forgot Password’, payment/registration confirmations, newsletters etc. therefore your options are as follows:

Recommended solution:  If you are able to provide a unique email address for the account, we can update your profile and then you will be able to use the ‘Forgot Password’ to set your password and be good to go. 

Alternate solution:  If you are not able to provide a unique email address, we will tell you your user name, and give you a temp password so you may log in and set your own password, and access the Member Area to register for leagues/programs, etc.  BUT you must understand, you will not receive any email from the website going forward.
